The Company’s main project area covers an area of approximately 80 kilometres long and up to 25 kilometres wide extending from Bullsbrook in the south to Koojan in the north. This region was subject to intensive exploration by CSR (Pacminex) from 1968 to 1975. Over 10,000 vacuum drill holes totalling 52,743m was completed.

The CSR (Pacminex) work outlined a global non JORC compliant resource of over 100 million tonnes of bauxite containing 30% extractable alumina with 3.1% reactive silica. Some of the areas on which this resource is situated are outside of Aluminex’s tenements.

More recently, Aluminex has reviewed this data and calculated a JORC compliant indicated and inferred bauxite resource on its tenements of 50 million tonnes at total 43.7% Al2O3 (30.3% extractable alumina), 3.2% reactive silica and 20.1% LOI.
